# Connecting and Disconnecting

## 1. Place the oBrain in a Room

First and foremost, you have to make sure that you have placed the oBrain object from (Objects/Rocket Networking) in a Gamemaker Room. And make sure that this is put in the room before you try to connect to the server, or it will not work.\
For simplicity, place oBrain in the first room in your Game. It is persistent so you dont have to worry about it.

## 2. Make sure you put your private key (server id) in Options.gml

In Scripts/Rocket Networking/Options.gml
